Who We Are

BRIGHT SPOTS project logo and motto

Our interdivisional collaborative efforts within the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) helps to bring awareness and change in the prevention of and response to maltreatment of individuals with disabilities.

Our goal of the effort is to move the CEC Policy on the Prevention and Response to Maltreatment from a statement, to a systematic and sustained course of action that will enhance safety and success through day-to-day instruction of individuals with disabilities throughout the U.S.

Bright Spots are individuals that are working towards systemic change within our world.
