Collaboration is a cornerstone of inclusive education, creating pathways for educators, families, and specialists to work together in supporting the diverse needs of students with disabilities. For meaningful inclusion to occur, collaboration must extend beyond compliance with policies and instead must reflect intentionality, shared responsibility, and cultural responsiveness. This is particularly critical for students who navigate intersectional challenges, such as those with disabilities from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds (Ladson-Billings, 1995). Research consistently demonstrates that when educators embrace collaborative practices rooted in mutual respect and equity, outcomes for students, families, and school communities improve (Gay, 2018).
